We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospice Care team at Chapters Health System. As a Hospice Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in need of end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality nursing care to patients through the nursing process, patient and family education, and documentation.
- Supervise and direct LPNs, CNAs, Unit Secretaries, and Volunteers to ensure quality care and a safe working environment.
- Participate in the Compliance and Performance Improvement program to maintain or improve the quality of patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-directed individualized plans of care.
- Ensure that all procedural instrumentation is cleaned or disposed of as per policy.
- At least one year of staff nurse experience in a comparable setting/unit.
- Hospice and/or palliative care experience is strongly preferred.
- Licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, based on the state/jurisdiction of practice; or licensure from compact state.
- Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) is required to practice in State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
