Job Summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Operations Lead to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional facility for our members, guests, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to night maintenance crew to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and assist assigned custodial staff in the performance of their duties, ensuring cleanliness and safety of all private and public areas.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance procedures on assigned areas and equipment, including restrooms, public areas, trash containment areas, and any public or work area.
  • Maintain the appearance of the facilities by adhering to assigned duties, ensuring an attractive, safe, and functional facility is presented to members, guests, and employees.
  • Develop skills and attend continuing education sessions to ensure technical competency and teamwork required to provide quality service.
  • Provide leadership in emergency action plans and evacuations, ensuring the security of the facility and reporting any suspicious activity to your immediate supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including opening and closing duties, security activities, and assisting with event set-ups.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision and maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • CPO/AFO Certification required (must obtain within six months of hire).
  • Ability to reason and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks at once.
  • Must be willing to work a varied shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, lift, climb, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects and reach overhead.
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.
