Midstate Radiology Associates is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at our Vernon Imaging Location. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on patients according to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic MRI scanning procedures by selecting the correct technique and utilizing patient assessment to produce high-quality images.
- Participate in complex invasive MRI exams by assisting radiologists in performing procedures using proper sterile technique.
- Start intravenous sites, assess existing sites, and inject intravenous contrast according to established protocols.
- Maintain MRI equipment in good operating order and ensure a safe working environment.
- Document patient and exam information, store images, and prepare examinations for radiologist interpretation.
- Perform quality assurance testing on equipment and maintain high performance standards.
- Work effectively as a team member and provide clinical supervision and instruction to students.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology program.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
- CT state license.
- CPR certification may be required.
- Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure.
- At least one year of experience as a radiological technologist.
- Associates or Applied Science Degree in a related field.
May be required to rotate on night, weekend, and/or holiday call schedules. May involve physical lifting and/or walking. OSHA Class 1 exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.
