MRI Technologist

Midstate Radiology Associates is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at our Vernon Imaging Location. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on patients according to established protocols.

1. Perform diagnostic MRI scanning procedures by selecting the correct technique and utilizing patient assessment to produce high-quality images.
2. Participate in complex invasive MRI exams by assisting radiologists in performing procedures using proper sterile technique.
3. Start intravenous sites, assess existing sites, and inject intravenous contrast according to established protocols.
4. Maintain MRI equipment in good operating order and ensure a safe working environment.
5. Document patient and exam information, store images, and prepare examinations for radiologist interpretation.
6. Perform quality assurance testing on equipment and maintain high performance standards.
7. Work effectively as a team member and provide clinical supervision and instruction to students.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology program.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
• CT state license.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure.

• At least one year of experience as a radiological technologist.
• Associates or Applied Science Degree in a related field.

May be required to rotate on night, weekend, and/or holiday call schedules. May involve physical lifting and/or walking. OSHA Class 1 exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.
