Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative team at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
  • Assess and monitor patients' medical status while in the OR, providing general nursing care and interventions as needed
  • Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
  • Keep the operating room sterilized and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent RN Open Heart Surgical Services experience
  • 1 year of RN experience in an Acute Care environment preferred
  • BSN is preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) required
  • CNOR preferred
