Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Senior Mechanic to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of trucks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform remote triage to assist with roadside breakdowns
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Coach and mentor other technicians
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
