Job Summary

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in the Sleep Disorder Center. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that promote favorable patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient data to inform respiratory care decisions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Conduct diagnostic testing and interpret results to inform respiratory care decisions
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-management and empowerment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in respiratory care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in respiratory care or a related field
  • Current RRT credential and licensure
  • At least 1 year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a sleep disorder center
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a sleep lab as a polysomnographer
  • Knowledge of sleep disorders and respiratory care
