Job Summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing and teaching diagnostic procedures in the field of radiologic imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares and administers contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Evaluates the appropriateness of examination and assesses the quality of radiographic images.
  3. Ensures that patient demographic, emulsion markers, and examination requested are correct.
  4. Documents completion and/or cancellation of all procedures in RIS.
  5. Verifies patient identity and obtains patient history relevant to examination order.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
