Floorcare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Floorcare Technician to join our team at Dedicated Building Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our clients' hard floors.

• Perform periodic advanced floor care duties, including stripping, dressing, buffing, and waxing of hard floors, carpet extraction and shampooing, and terrazzo maintenance.
• Operate cleaning equipment, such as buffers, auto scrubbers, and other floor machines, tools, products, and supplies necessary to accomplish tasks.
• Mix chemicals needed to perform duties and maintain equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is kept clean and report any malfunctions or safety hazards to the Supervisor.
• Shampoo carpets and spray buff hard surface floors.
• Refinish hard surfaces and perform other duties as assigned.

• Graduation from High School, GED or equivalent, preferred.
• Six (6) months or more of related experience buffing and/or waxing wood, tile, terrazzo floor surfaces.
• Ability to understand directions from verbal and/or written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, and customers.
• Good working knowledge of mixing and use of all chemicals needed to perform duties and equipment use and maintenance required to perform tasks.
• Ability to work safely in accordance with company and job site safety procedures.
