About the Role

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cloud Solutions Architect. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions for our customers.

You will work closely with our customers to understand their business challenges and help them accelerate the adoption of AWS services. Your expertise in cloud computing, software development, and systems engineering will be essential in helping our customers migrate their existing workloads to the cloud.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale applications to large-scale enterprise solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the success of these projects by designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be a trusted customer advocate, helping organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and providing advice on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS, while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

Additionally, you will be responsible for authoring and contributing to AWS customer-facing publications, such as whitepapers, workshops, demos, and proof of concepts.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals, including sales, marketing, and technical teams. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing events and learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions for our customers.
  • Work closely with our customers to understand their business challenges and help them accelerate the adoption of AWS services.
  • Ensure the success of projects by designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS.
  • Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications, such as whitepapers, workshops, demos, and proof of concepts.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  • 3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
  • Experience deploying and optimizing generative AI workloads in production.
  • Large models pretrain/fine-tuning experience, familiar with distributed training.
  • Pre-sales engineering, technical business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key in a matrix environment.
  • Hands on experience with Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, or Amazon Q.
