Supply Chain Coordinator I

As a Supply Chain Coordinator I at Johns Hopkins HealthCare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, unpacking, and restocking of all supplies and small equipment for assigned entities. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor inventory movement within the supply area and request changes to materials leaders to remove slow-moving items or increase par levels for fast-moving items.
Review units prior to completing the restocking procedure for low inventory items and subsequently issue and retrieve supplies from the central storeroom.
Participate in the daily unloading and loading of the truck from the Consolidated Services Center to ensure on-time arrival and departure of all supplies across the health system.
Manage the restocking of supplies for the hospital's emergency carts, including reviewing expired or short-dated items and restocking procedure not exceeding 40 minutes per cart.
Complete the restocking of all supply areas with a productivity rate of 52 lines per hour.
Attend daily huddles to receive work assignments and instructions.
Responsible for checking, flagging, and removing all short-dated or expired product from the supply area.
Retrieve, disinfect, and redistribute small equipment for the institution.
Ensure that supply areas are kept neat and orderly to comply with Joint Commission regulations.
Field requests from departmental customers and direct them to the appropriate materials management channel for resolution of requests.
Support the hospital's inbound receiving process by reviewing, sorting, and verifying the contents of all inbound parcels followed by the entry of a goods receipt in the hospital's ERP system and concluding with the delivery of the parcel to the unit.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, inventory stocking, and distribution.
Knowledge of customer service protocols is required.
Knowledge of healthcare supplies and materials management operations is preferred.
Good communication skills needed to effectively work with peers, management, departmental stakeholders, patients, staff, and visitors is required.
Familiarity with computer systems and the ability to type.
Sound problem-solving skills.
Ability to take direction and follow institutional guidelines and procedures.
Ability to be flexible to meet schedule needs and handle frequent unpredictable changes.
Ability to work as a committed team member by contributing in a positive, enthusiastic, engaged, and collaborative manner.
Ability to read, write, and have the mathematical ability at a 12th-grade level is required.
Six months of prior professional work experience is required. Experience in a warehouse, hospital supply chain, or customer service role is preferred.
