Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Controller, the Financial Analyst will oversee the financial operations related to assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with Urban Pathways' standards as well as those of regulatory and funding bodies.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required documentation and reports in accordance with Urban Pathways and regulatory policies.
- Complete all government billing processes within established deadlines.
- Conduct bank reconciliations promptly as per Urban Pathways' guidelines.
- Prepare and submit necessary journal entries and adjustments to facilitate timely monthly and annual financial closures.
- Maintain an organized filing system that is accessible to finance team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is mandatory.
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, particularly with high-volume bank reconciliations, is essential.
- Experience in fund accounting is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary.
- Experience with automated general ledger systems, particularly Financial Edge, is advantageous.
