Job Summary

Davidson Transit Organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role involves administering attendance-related programs, designing wellness initiatives, and providing support to employees.

Responsibilities
  1. Attendence Administration
    1. Process sick pay and disability claims for Maintenance and Operations Department
    2. Enter information into personnel database
    3. Obtain additional information from physicians where needed
    4. Verify all documentation is legitimate as per Attendance Policy
  2. Employee Recognition and Wellness
    1. Develop and implement Employee Recognition Program
    2. Create wellness incentives for employees
  3. Program Management
    1. Track and manage programs related to employee attendance
    2. Short-Term Disability
    3. Family and Medical Leave
    4. Worker's Compensation
    5. Bereavement Leave
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 3-5 years of comparable HR or supervatory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws, especially Workers' Compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Basic understanding of human resource functions
  • Knowledge of computer applications
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $80,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive health insurance package, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
