We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wealth Management Director to join our team at Bank of Montreal. - Build and maintain internal and external networks and referral sources to grow business in assigned portfolios/jurisdictions.
- Enhance presence in the marketplace by collaborating with other experts to create integrated business development plans.
- Act as primary Relationship Manager for assigned client relationships.
- Lead/assist in creating business proposals or presentations, including relationship plans, financial plans, and reviews.
- Lead Annual Client Reviews with team members to evaluate changing needs, increase communication with clients, and implement client experiences.
- Produce client reports demonstrating value provided and assessing clients at-risk for retention.
- Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on in-depth understanding of the business/group.
- Act as subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
- Network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
- Proactively identify client needs and concerns to diagnose and facilitate resolution of client issues.
- Introduce subject matter experts to clients.
- Share wealth solutions expertise and product knowledge across regional teams.
- Develop solutions and make recommendations based on understanding of business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Manage resources and lead execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.
- Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop roadmap for strategic execution.
- Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Act as prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between stakeholders.
- Bridge banking, trust, and investment disciplines together for client communications when full relationship exists.
- Break down strategic problems, analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and track performance, address any issues.
- Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards.
- Build change management plans of varying scope and type; lead or participate in change management activities.
- Lead/participate in defining communication plan to positively influence or change behavior; develop tailored messaging; identify appropriate distribution channels.
- Lead execution of operational programs; assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution.
- Oversee design, development, and implementation of tools and training required to deliver business results.
- Lead/participate in design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes.
- Develop and manage business/group program.
- Review program for effectiveness, consider industry trends, recommend enhancements; make changes as required.
- Use advisory-based financial planning approach to manage opportunities and relationships.
- Support achievement of business plan within designated territory/region.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to build capability and drive business growth.
- Meet high-quality service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth.
- Develop rapport and instill confidence with clients to develop credibility and earn trust.
- Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure safeguarding of customers' assets, maintenance of their privacy, acting in their best interests, and ensuring effectively run function.
- Protect Bank's assets and comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Operate at group/enterprise-wide level and serve as specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
- Implement changes in response to shifting trends.
- Broad work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA certification preferred.
- Experience dealing with HNW clients and equivalent knowledge base.
- Certified Financial Planner is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of all facets of wealth management.
- In-depth/expert knowledge of Bank products, services, and capabilities.
- Seasoned professional with combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.

$185,500.00
Pay Type: Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
