Claims Specialist

Holland America/Princess Alaska-Yukon Land Operations is seeking a Claims Specialist to join our team in Fairbanks, AK. As a key member of our Guest Services department, you will be responsible for processing delayed and damaged luggage/property claims.

• Process delayed and damaged luggage/property claims filed in Fairbanks, AK.
• Provide exceptional customer service to follow up on all claims filed and search for lost claims.
• Presentation of claim procedures to guests as needed.
• Communication with other divisions regarding delayed and/or missing luggage/personal property.
• Creation and maintenance of reports for local office as well as for both Holland America Line and Princess Cruises Corporate Departments.
• Preparation of luggage for shipment.
• Coordination with ship staff and 3rd party vendors regarding the shipping of luggage.
• Assistance in general luggage operations at various locations within Fairbanks.

• Proficiency in computer business applications and internet usage.
• Two years of experience in property claims or customer service positions preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) requested.
• Meet Company's clean driver eligibility requirements.
• Pass pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Dedication to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.
• Eligibility to work in the United States; sponsorship of employment visas not provided by the company.
