About Us

Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Educator to enhance our professional team.

Position Overview

The RN Educator is responsible for developing and coordinating comprehensive orientation and training initiatives, in-service education, and various educational programs aimed at fostering the growth of our facility's staff. This role involves providing orientation for the Nursing Department and facilitating educational programs while collaborating with all departments to monitor, control, and prevent infections within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, implements, and assesses policies and procedures for facility-wide in-service training programs.
  • Creates an annual calendar and master schedule for mandatory and relevant in-service programs, distributing it to key personnel.
  • Organizes and conducts mandatory and additional in-service training sessions for all staff members.
  • Prepares and disseminates monthly in-service training calendars to all departments.
  • Stays informed about and recommends training resources to departments involved in educational programs.
  • In collaboration with the Personnel Director and Department Heads, conducts and/or arranges orientation for all new hires, specifically for Nursing Personnel.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Possesses a current New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in a long-term care environment, particularly in Nursing Administration.
  • Prior experience in providing in-service education is essential.
  • Familiarity with CDC guidelines related to infection control and O.S.H.A requirements is required.
