Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team in a Regional Solo Truck Driver position. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle and delivering goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with safety and DOT regulations, ensuring a safe and secure transportation experience for our customers.
  • Deliver Goods: Load and unload freight, or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep accurate records and logs of your activities, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
  • Meet Customer Expectations: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that our customers receive their goods on time and in good condition.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL: Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements.
  • Experience: Have at least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Background Check: Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including a drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
