Job Summary:

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician at WestRock, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and plant systems. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems, including PLCs.

• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, compressor, and vacuum systems.

• Work on motors, conveyors, AC/DC, PLC troubleshooting, and other related tasks.

• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.

• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Complete timely and accurate paperwork and reports.

Requirements:

• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with extensive troubleshooting experience.

• Experience with troubleshooting in a production/manufacturing environment.

• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems.

• Ability to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives.

• Ability to install and troubleshoot basic 3-phase motor control circuits.

• Knowledge of various types of sensors and limit switches.

• Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability preferred.

• Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner.

• Ability to work weekends and overtime.

• Basic mathematical skills and basic technology/computer skills.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; military training and/or technical school preferred.

• Corrugated background is a plus, but not required.

• The pay range for this position is $27.20-$37.35/hr, depending on your role, level, and location.
