Automotive Technician II

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic II to join our team at Government Jobs. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of all vehicles and equipment, as well as providing building maintenance as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to identify potential problems before they become major issues.
- Collaborate with the Garage Superintendent and General Superintendent to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Perform general maintenance on work facilities to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive or equipment maintenance; experience with heavy equipment a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
