Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Yard Jockey to join our team at TransForce. As a Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for safely operating a jockey truck to move trailers around the facility, loading and unloading cargo, and performing various tasks as assigned by the supervisor or foreman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a jockey truck to move trailers around the facility, ensuring safe and efficient movement of cargo
  • Load and unload cargo from trailers, following all safety protocols and procedures
  • Perform various tasks as assigned by the supervisor or foreman, including preparing the work area, completing VCRs, and organizing and cleaning the work area
  • Work with the foreman and supervisor to move raw material loads to doors as needed, install and remove trailer stands as necessary, and review BOLs for product to be loaded
  • Complete final certification for all outbound loads, process paperwork in NIS, and stage pallets and/or loads into trucks when ready
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards in the work area, complete partial pallets, and put away mixed pallets

Requirements:

  • 21 years or older if CDL required
  • CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
  • Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test
  • Follow DOT regulations (if applicable)
  • Job may include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying between 20 and 50 lbs. throughout the shift
