The ideal candidate for this position will have 1-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in nephrology, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will also have experience with software applications used in medical offices, including electronic medical records, scheduling programs, and credit card machines. Additionally, you must be CPR certified and able to calculate figures and amounts.

We offer a competitive salary range of $109,000 - $182,000 based on qualifications and work location, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect vital signs, social history, chief complaint, and current concerns from patients.
  • Alert physicians to any patient complaints, especially those that are life-threatening.
  • Prepare patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by supporting clinical functions.
  • Call pharmacy refills and patient callbacks as directed by office protocol and physician instructions.
  • Document all calls, correspondence, and encounters with patients within established guidelines.
  • Round on patients in a dialysis setting on designated schedules.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by physicians in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Perform procedures and treatments within the scope of training and experience as ordered by physicians following established protocols.
  • Triage emergency and non-emergency phone calls with appropriate destinations (i.e., Emergency Department) and document according to protocols.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments to physicians.
  • Assist in coordinating patient transfers to hospitals (direct admissions).
