Janitorial Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at JWCH Institute, Inc. as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist.

• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of JWCH facilities, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture.
• Facility Maintenance: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, following established protocols and safety guidelines, to maintain a neat and orderly environment.
• Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, and refill restroom supplies as needed.
• Window and Glass Maintenance: Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to maintain a clear and transparent environment.
• Equipment Operation: Operate floor cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and carpet cleaners, to maintain the appearance of carpets and rugs.
• Waste Management: Sort and separate recyclable materials from general waste and follow proper disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
• Security and Safety: Maintain security by properly locking doors and securing premises as required, and report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

• Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid CA Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills, including email and web navigation.
• Physical Ability: Ability to move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and handling of cleaning chemicals, and proven experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
