Director of Clinical Operations Job Description

At Worldwide Clinical Trials, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Clinical Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations department, ensuring the successful execution of Phase I studies at our in-house facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the clinical operational departments to support clinical trials management for Phase I-IIB clinical trials.
  • Manage staff, including Clinic, Regulatory Department, Clinical Research Coordinator Department, Data Entry Department, Nutrition Department, and Clinic Scheduling Department.
  • Review systems for efficiencies and compliance with regulations.
  • Partner with Leadership to review studies for feasibility and provide feedback regarding scheduled workload for clinic.
  • Support Business Development Group to promote the capabilities and services of Worldwide Phase I unit.
  • Ensure timelines and customer expectations are met.
  • Report and act on KPI measures on a monthly basis.
  • Review quality reports, investigate action items, and ensure remediation.
  • Conduct sponsor site visits and tours.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the clinical research process, including Good Clinical Practices and ICH guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent year of experience, preferably in the field of Life Sciences or Health.
  • At least 10 years of Clinical Research experience (preferably Phase I).
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.
