As a Site Assessment Specialist, you will deliver expert site evaluation services to gather and relay essential technical information to the Freedom Forever Construction Review team. This data is crucial for formulating project scope details necessary for proposing a solar system design, as well as for generating permit-ready documentation to facilitate solar system installations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Travel to various project locations to collect necessary data for technical design documentation of solar systems
  • Create comprehensive rooftop mapping layouts for solar arrays, including roof dimensions and all relevant penetrations (pipes, vents, etc.)
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients to gather facility assessment information
  • Conduct thorough site evaluations utilizing auditing tools such as tablets, measuring devices, and other relevant equipment
  • Submit site audit documentation promptly to ensure coordination with the design and engineering teams for timely production of permit-ready documents
  • Adhere to Freedom Forever's Standard Operating Procedures for Site Audits to ensure seamless transitions between departments
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle safely
  • Collaborate with the sales team, design professionals, and subcontractors to support business operations
  • Collect detailed structural information on various building types
  • Identify potential issues in homes that may affect installations
  • Gather all electrical data required by the company
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED, or a Trade School degree in a field related to construction, building sciences, engineering, or architecture
Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction preferred; experience in site assessment and solar projects is advantageous
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to read and comprehend contract documents and plans; strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for preparing site audit documents and conducting meetings with clients
  • Physical capability to work on roofs and in attics, as well as lift objects weighing over 50 pounds occasionally
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as needed
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including at least one weekend day
  • Commitment to following all safety protocols established by the company
