Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Luminys Systems Corporation. As a key member of our operations, you will provide legal guidance and support to ensure compliance with application laws and regulations. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including legal compliance, contract management, risk mitigation, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including customer agreements, vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate such risks.
  • Manage and oversee litigation matters involving the company, including disputes, claims, and regulatory investigations.
  • Oversee the company's various compliance programs, including privacy compliance, government contract regulatory compliance, etc.
  • Develop and deliver legal training programs to educate employees on relevant legal issues and compliance requirements.

Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or an LL.M. from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience practicing law, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prior experience drafting and negotiating commercial distribution agreements.
  • Experience in the technology industry or related field is highly desirable.
