Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative - Appointment Scheduling Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently answering and scheduling patient appointments. This role requires a high level of problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments following established protocols and procedures.
  • Obtain, verify, and input all necessary information accurately into the scheduling system.
  • Conduct insurance verification and provide customer service to patients.
  • Resolve patient inquiries or escalate for solution.
  • Route calls to the proper departments.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent typing skills and friendly telephone etiquette.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of clerical experience.
  • Experience working in a physician practice.
  • Experience in a call center.
  • Experience with an appointment scheduling system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
Physical Demands

This role is largely sedentary and requires the ability to remain stationary for a majority of the day. Any additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management.
