Pediatric Mental Health Therapist

Join the University of Texas at Austin as a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist and contribute to the well-being of children and adolescents. As a member of our team, you will provide mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and family members through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program at Dell Medical School.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate and provide diagnostic impressions, formulating treatment plans according to evidence-based practices and protocols.
- Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions as needed, monitoring patients for suicidal/homicidal intent and ensuring patient safety when necessary.
- Participate in supervision, feedback, and quality assurance checks, maintaining client records and performing data entry as required by protocol.
- Coordinate with referring practitioners, individuals, and family members throughout the treatment, collaborating with project coordinators and administrative assistants to coordinate patient visits.
- Attend training workshops, interdisciplinary meetings, and client staffing as required, performing all other duties as assigned.
- Be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent practiced clinician in the State of Texas.
- Three (3) years of post-licensure counseling or related clinical experience is required, with experience working with children, adolescents, and family systems.
- Strong technology skills, including the ability to perform computer tasks and use electronic health record systems independently.
- Ability to work remotely, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to accuracy and detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to professional ethical and practice standards.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) proficiency.
- Proficiency in at least one electronic medical records system, e.g., Athena.
- May work around standard office conditions.
- Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.
- Occasional weekend, overtime, and evening work to meet deadlines.
- Occasional interstate, intrastate, and international travel.
- Field work as necessary.
- Resume/CV.
