As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Macpower Digital Assets Edge (MDA Edge), you will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing in various areas, including blood bank, microbiology, serology, chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis. You will follow standardized procedures in accordance with regulatory and hospital policies and procedures.
You will provide work direction to CLS and non-licensed staff, maintain policies/procedures and quality control practices, and ensure efficient daily work flow within a designated area of the laboratory. Additionally, you will float to all laboratory areas as needed.
Qualifications:- High School or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of experience in lab testing
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related degree
- Successful completion of an accredited laboratory training program
- CLS Certification
- Meets the CLIA requirements for technical Supervisor
You must be technically knowledgeable about the testing processes done in your section and be able to incorporate new testing technology as it becomes available. You will also provide leadership and mentoring to staff working in your assigned section and lead process improvement activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Good verbal and written English communication skills are required to communicate with physicians and staff and develop new procedures. You must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
