Key Responsibilities:

As an Ophthalmic Care Specialist at UMass Memorial Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patients for ophthalmological examinations, taking pertinent ocular and medical history, and performing various ophthalmic duties such as visual acuity testing, pupil testing, and tonometry.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. Additionally, you must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and have a minimum of one year of work experience in Ophthalmology. Excellent interpersonal skills are also essential for this position.
