The Residential Repair Specialist will play a vital role in supporting maintenance personnel with routine and preventive repair tasks, including managing work orders, quick turnarounds, and the maintenance of communal areas and grounds.

$23.56-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct routine maintenance tasks throughout the property, including structural repairs, window and door fixes, and wall restoration.

Address plumbing issues to prevent water damage and ensure full functionality of water fixtures.

Repair electrical wiring issues, including shortages or severed connections.

Maintain HVAC systems to ensure effective climate control within the facility.

Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.

Inspect buildings, equipment, and appliances for operational efficiency, addressing faults and planning for the replacement of outdated or damaged items.

Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors, vendors, and site personnel to secure favorable terms for property repairs and maintenance supplies.

Diagnose appliance issues and facilitate prompt repairs, addressing minor problems such as light fixtures, clogged toilets, leaks, and damaged furniture.

Prepare and clean vacated properties and rooms for new occupants.

Implement preventative measures to minimize the risk of future maintenance issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a maintenance technician in residential settings or a similar role.

HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent certification is preferred.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds without assistance.

Strong attention to detail and dexterity.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in maintenance roles.

Comprehensive knowledge of appliance repairs, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall work.

Capability to perform general repairs in building systems, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall as required.

Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed to high standards and that potential hazards are not overlooked.

Strong organizational skills.
