Position Information:

The Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive overnight Polysomnographic testing, providing appropriate patient care throughout the testing process. This includes greeting and orienting patients to the Sleep Lab, explaining pre-testing and post-testing procedures, and addressing patient questions and concerns. The technologist reviews patient history and physical information, medications, procedure requests, and study protocols. They complete and verify documentation, verify the integrity of collected data, and complete the data collection process, including repeating calibrations and assisting patients with paperwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive overnight Polysomnographic testing
  • Provide patient care throughout the testing process
  • Review patient history and physical information, medications, procedure requests, and study protocols
  • Complete and verify documentation
  • Verify the integrity of collected data
  • Complete the data collection process, including repeating calibrations and assisting patients with paperwork

Requirements:

  • 2 years of direct position experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a related field required, with required licensure/certification
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technician required, with Registered Polysomnography Technologist required within 6 months of hire

Work Schedule:

Variable day-shift schedule with weekends and nights as needed.
