About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and welcoming Restaurant Host to join our team at One World Observatory. As a Restaurant Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, answering any questions they may have about the restaurant or One World Observatory.
  • Manage the efficient and timely seating of guests, utilizing our electronic table management system to maximize table usage and minimize wait times.
  • Provide guidance to guests on dining options and general information about New York City.
  • Utilize your knowledge of the restaurant concept and floor plan to accommodate special seating requests and ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Relay messages to servers and bus-persons as needed, and maintain a professional and courteous attitude in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk to and from the host stand multiple times while on shift.
  • Knowledge of electronic reservation systems, such as OpenTable, is a plus.
