Position Overview

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a skilled professional for the role of Structural CAD/BIM Designer. This position involves the modeling and drafting of various structures typically associated with water treatment facilities, including wastewater treatment plants, dams, pump stations, and related infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for structural detailing across a range of materials such as reinforced concrete, structural steel, and aluminum. It is essential to ensure that all drawings adhere to the established CAD/BIM standards and styles set forth by both the company and clients.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in design and drafting for environmental and structural projects.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within large design teams and coordinate with various disciplines.
  • Proficiency in BIM document management systems, Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and Teams.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited institution is preferred. Candidates with an Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Design or drafting will also be considered.
