Job Summary

Precision Cut Industries (PCI) is a high-tech contract manufacturer with a core competency in laser cutting. We are seeking a disciplined, results-based Manufacturing Project Engineer to manage and coordinate engineering projects in the manufacturing sector, focusing on process improvements, production optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee manufacturing projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, reports, and project updates, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Assess project costs and benefits, helping to develop budgets and conducting regular reviews to track project expenditures.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain product integrity and consistency throughout the manufacturing cycle.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on new processes, technologies, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • Relevant work experience in manufacturing engineering or project management.
  • Proficiency in project management and manufacturing tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to understand multiple fabrication techniques.
  • The ability to read engineering prints is a must and expanded knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
  • CAD Experience.

Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of walking and sitting at a desk working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in an uncontrolled warehouse environment.
