About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Department Coordinator to join our retail team at Marshalls. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of receiving and merchandising standards, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Management: Ensure that merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and that the sales floor is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and provide guidance and support to ensure efficient processing of merchandise.
  • Customer Service: Engage and interact with all customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly rotated and replenished as needed.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area, and ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with management and Associates, providing progress updates and addressing priorities as needed.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Communication Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors, and to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
