Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Duties:
- Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, including resident rooms, communal spaces, furniture, fixtures, vents, restrooms, and sinks as per schedule.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals to dust-mop, wet-mop, or spot-mop floors as required.
- Conduct floor maintenance, including stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing as necessary.
- Vacuum, extract, and/or shampoo carpets as needed.
- Clean windows using suitable cleaning solutions as scheduled.
- Manage waste disposal by emptying trash containers, replacing liners, and disposing of waste properly.
- Handle spoiled linens appropriately for washing.
- Change linens and prepare residents' beds according to schedule.
- Report maintenance needs to the supervisor or maintenance team as appropriate.
- Understand and apply the proper use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets.
- Utilize appropriate safety equipment and tools to identify hazards and adhere to the community's safety policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in cleaning operations is preferred.
- Experience with floor-care equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Consistent, reliable attendance is essential.
