Role Summary:

The Registered Drug and Alcohol Technician is responsible for conducting thorough screenings, assessments, crisis interventions, and treatment planning for clients facing substance use challenges. This role includes leading group and individual counseling sessions, as well as coordinating referrals to appropriate clinical resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings for substance use disorders.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery and support.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services to clients in need.
  • Oversee the coordination of referrals to additional resources and services.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma with certification as a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician is required. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Dependency or a related field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years in a similar role or as a Chemical Dependency Counselor is required.

Licensure: Progress toward certification as a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) is preferred. Certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) is also preferred. CPR and Handle-With-Care certifications must be obtained prior to completing orientation.
