Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Projects Specialist to join our team at Universal Orlando Resort. As a key member of our Environmental Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project design documents to ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and global EHS policies and standards.
  • Partner with EHS Global Environmental Affairs and Health & Safety teams, Communications, and Assurance teams to ensure effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
  • Validate documents and records, evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed controls, and communicate findings and contributing factors to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and act as a liaison between EHS and Site operating divisions, Universal Creative.
  • Maintain electronic recordkeeping systems for EHS design review comments and recommendations.
  • Participate in onsite verification to ensure project compliance with corporate or regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication between contractor/vendors, design engineers/architects, project management teams, and EHS business lines throughout the project phase.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering/Management, Public Health, Environment, or Biological or Educational Sciences.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial and/or construction roles, with a focus on hazard recognition and mitigation, technical report preparation, and executive communications.
  • Planning, scheduling, and organization skills are essential for success.
