Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Polly Pies. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishroom and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment, and load them into the dish machine.
  • Ensure the dishwater is clean and at the correct temperature at all times.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand, and sanitize them to prevent the spread of bacteria.
  • Remove trash and garbage from the dishroom and kitchen areas, and dispose of it properly.
  • Set up and break down the dishwashing area, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean and roll/unroll mats, and sweep/mop floors to prevent slips and falls.
  • Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions, and ensure they are properly labeled and stored.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting, knife handling, and personal protective equipment use.
  • Conduct general cleaning and sanitizing of the kitchen and dishroom areas, as directed by management.
  • Wipe up spills and ensure the kitchen floors remain dry and free of hazards.
  • Report any functional or mechanical problems with the dish machine to management immediately.
  • Notify management of any dish machine wash or rinse cycle that falls below safety standard temperatures.
