Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Polly Pies. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishroom and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment, and load them into the dish machine.
  • Ensure the dishwater is clean and at the correct temperature at all times.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand, and sanitize all equipment and utensils.
  • Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster, and keep the dishroom and kitchen areas clean and organized.
  • Set up or break down the dishwashing area as needed, and clean and roll/unroll mats.
  • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions, and sweep/mop floors and clean drains.
  • Assemble/disassemble the dish machine, and follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting, knife handling, and personal protective equipment.
  • Conduct general store and restroom cleaning as directed, and wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
  • Notify the Manager on duty of any dish machine wash or rinse cycle that falls below safety standard temperatures.
  • Measure and assemble ingredients and prepare recipes and menu specifications in accordance with Polly Pies recipes.
  • Complete other various tasks, including salad bar prep, as needed.
