Accreditation and Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accreditation and Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Trinity Health. This role will be responsible for facilitating regulatory and risk management activities, ensuring compliance, enhancing patient safety, and minimizing liability exposure.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and administer ministry-wide standard assessments using tracer methodology to identify opportunities for improvement with standards and Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
- Perform audits and inspect patient care areas, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
- Proactively engage in survey readiness activities and facilitate The Joint Commission (TJC) on-site survey activities.
- Coordinate and administer ministry-wide systems for risk identification, investigation, and reduction.
- Maintain a network of informational sources and experts.
- Perform risk assessment surveys in collaboration with the healthcare team, addressing findings with actions that are monitored and sustained.
- Proactively engage in risk reduction activities.
- Maintain the risk management plan/program to efficiently provide services across the ministry and minimize exposure to general and professional liability events.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, health administration, or a related field.
- Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum three to five years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Risk management, CPHRM, and/or performance improvement experience desired.
- Regulatory, TJC, CPHQ, and/or performance improvement experience desired.
- Leadership experience in clinical and professional practice is preferred.
