- Set up and maintain a sterile field while anticipating and responding to the surgeon's intra-operative needs.
- Function as a 2nd assistant during surgical procedures.
- Understand and maintain current knowledge and practice of hospital policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an approved one year surgical technologist program.
- Knowledgeable in aseptic technique, scrub skills, anatomy, and surgical procedures.
- Knowledgeable and purpose of correct medications and solutions used on the surgical field.
- 6 months of previous surgical tech experience.
- Certified Surgical Technologist.
