Diesel Mechanic Mid Level

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Mid Level to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, ensuring our fleet of heavy duty vehicles is in top condition.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the shop
- Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of their complaint
- Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
- Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines, including safety and regulatory requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
- Basic tools, required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
- Competitive hourly pay rate
- Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter, four times per year
- Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days
- Annual merit pay increases every year
