About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transteck, Inc. as a Diesel Technician for our Freightliner of York dealership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the cause of malfunction and use manufacturers-approved troubleshooting guides to diagnose issues.
  • Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
  • Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment to ensure high-quality repairs.
  • Document work performed and applicable technical information to maintain accurate records.
  • Note additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Clean all parts that have been worked on and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Order parts according to dealership procedures to ensure timely delivery.
  • Tag all warranty parts and return all dirty cores to parts in a timely manner to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Perform repairs in a timely manner set by the manufacturers' standard repair time guidelines to meet customer expectations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must provide own hand tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Driving License
  • Heavy Duty truck experience
  • Technical training school or equivalent experience
