Float MRI Technologist Job Description

RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is seeking a skilled Float MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Float MRI Technologist, you will operate an MRI scanner to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes at multiple centers within the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts with minimal supervision or repeats.
  • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepare patients for MR procedures, explaining the process and providing support throughout the exam.
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and maintain a positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, customers, and peers.
  • Converse with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep equipment in good working order, clean, and disinfect after each use.
  • Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and assist with training new associates.
Requirements:
  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance.
  • MR certification and bilingual skills are preferred.
