Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties in accordance with client guidelines and requirements.
  • Assist with tasks to meet the needs of the location and patient/customer or to ensure an orderly operation.
  • Keep current with medication information, health care concepts, and all regulations relative to the practice of long-term care, institutional, and retail pharmacy.
  • Interpret and clarify new and refill order requests to ensure appropriateness and maintain patient safety.
  • Prepare or cause to be prepared safe, neat, accurate, complete medication orders.
  • Provide and is responsible for final check on all prepared medication to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assure that all medication orders and supplies are delivered promptly and completely to correct patients.
  • Provide support/suggestions when appropriate to provide safe and effective medication therapy.
  • Prepare and complete all appropriate documentation, including incident reports, controlled substances sheets, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and/or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with Pharmacy Data Entry Systems.
  • Pharmacy licensure from the state of employment is required.
