Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the Housing Department, including supervising administrative support positions.
- Conduct research and statistical analysis to inform decision-making and improve departmental operations.
- Develop and implement budgets and financial plans to ensure the effective use of resources.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for the Director's consideration.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of staff, including training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for Housing programs, including policies on rent collections, homeownership payments, and administrative functions.
- Ensure compliance with HUD and Tribal regulations pertaining to Resident Services, Maintenance, and Grants.
- Coordinate purchasing with the Procurement Department to ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
- Collaborate with the Finance Division to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Assist the Director in budget development and implementation.
- Oversee and manage internal Housing Department payroll functions.
- Conduct research to find grants that are available for Housing programs.
- Write and submit grant applications to appropriate agencies and departments.
- Monitor administrative policies and make recommendations for changes that will improve operations.
- Represent the department at public functions, meetings, and conferences as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 10 years of progressively responsible related work experience with at least 5 years of management-level experience in Public or Indian Housing.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends.
The Pascua Yaqui Tribe offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 22 days of Paid Time Off, 15 paid Holidays per year, and a 401(k) Plan with a generous match. We also offer an onsite Wellness Center and a profit-sharing plan after one year of employment.
