Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team at World Courier Inc. As a key member of our Operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of freight and cargo to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the recovery and tender of freight at local airports, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Work closely with drivers and supervisors to optimize delivery routes and schedules, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain cold chain requirements for all shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of packaging materials and cold chain supplies as needed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to clients.
  • Monitor clearance status and update notes for Customer Service and origin offices, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Ensure that all Company and Regulatory policies and Standard Operational Procedures are followed, maintaining the highest level of quality and compliance.
  • Monitor and respond to personal and group email accounts in a timely manner, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Monitor all "On-Hold" shipments for export and/or delivery approval, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing delays.
  • Update the Outbound Flight Monitor regularly, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Proficiency in Cold Chain Management, including gel pack preparation, refurbishment, and configuration.
  • Assist Leadership Team Members with daily functions and activities as needed, providing support and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Maintain accurate Training Records, Certificates, and Qualifications, completing tests by due date.
  • Ensure proper storage of shipments at airlines and office, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Report any complaints, concerns, or issues to management immediately, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions.
  • Be available to work overtime as necessary, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and delivery services.
Requirements
  • A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED.
  • Two to three years' experience in a related field, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to safely lift packages up to 75 lbs, with a professional demeanor and ability to work flexible schedules.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
