Position Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement improvements in mold cycle processes to achieve significant cost reductions without compromising safety or quality.
2. Optimize machine performance, setups, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
3. Lead the development and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems and evaluate material advancements in collaboration with Engineering & Technical Services (E&TS).
4. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance protocols for molds and machinery, working closely with E&TS and equipment suppliers.
5. Drive product and process enhancements for existing operations.
6. Serve as a resource for mold and equipment repairs, providing ongoing technical support to plant operations to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and delivery performance.
7. Assist in evaluating components for new products and facilitate new product testing, including mold and equipment installations.
8. Maintain standard operating procedures for molding machines and related equipment.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with required expertise in:
- Injection molding processes
- Molding equipment
- Molding materials and tooling
- Project management (2 years)
Alternatively, candidates may hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience and required skills in:
- Injection molding processes
- Molding equipment
- Molding materials and tooling
- Project management (2 years)
Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience will be considered.
