We're seeking talented individuals to join our Software Engineering Co-op Program at nVent, a leading provider of inventive electrical solutions. As a co-op, you'll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our company.

Program Overview

The Software Engineering Co-op Program is a structured experiential learning program that combines academic knowledge with practical experience in the workplace. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and software developers to gain hands-on experience in software development, quality assurance, and testing.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of software test plans and verification procedures
  • Develop automated tests as part of larger regression suites
  • Perform manual testing to uncover issues not covered by automation
  • Assist with usability testing to validate and improve UI/UX design
  • Prioritize, coordinate, and execute software quality testing activities
  • Log discovered defects with clear documentation within our defect tracking tool (Jira)
  • Help software engineers reproduce and troubleshoot issues
Requirements
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, software engineering, or computer science
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in an accredited college or university and must hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 throughout rotations
  • This is a full-time program offering 40 hours of work per week in our Solon, Ohio manufacturing facility
  • Relocation and housing support is available for eligible candidates
