Roadway Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Roadway Engineer to join our West Coast team in California, Nevada, or Colorado. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing routine engineering work, developing professional proficiency, and contributing to the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Apply standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations.
- Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings, including supervising the production of these drawings.
- Carry out specific assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.
- Participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks, including collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
- Prepare assigned sections of reports working under the close review of a more experienced professional.
- Participate on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with easily interpreted specifications, assisting in recordkeeping, and generating progress reports.
- B.S. (or higher) in Civil Engineering.
- P.E. required with 7-12 years of experience.
- CAD and design software proficiency required.
- MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Internship, Co-op, or other experience in Roadway Design and/or Construction is a plus.
- Proven technical writing and communication skills.
